You enter card details at checkout and Command unlocks immediately. Nothing is charged for 14 days. Cancel before the trial ends from Settings → Plan and you are never billed.

What does a seat cost and who needs one?

Can I start on Operator and move up later?
Yes. Switch plans any time from Settings → Plan; Stripe prorates the difference and nothing in your data changes.
Is the data room actually private?
Yes. Files live in private storage, access is enforced at the database level, share links are scoped and revocable, and every open is written to an access log.
